"Wild Times in the Wildwood" is a series of animated shorts about working class guys enjoying their first summer of freedom down The Jersey Shore. Based on an animated short by Chuck Sheetz, these stories are from the summer right after high school graduation. In the 1980s, Wildwood was a quaint, shabby beach town. Disco boomed but Bruce Springsteen still ruled at all the dives up and down The Shore. Kids with no money could live cheap in seedy hotels with shared bath and kitchen while waiting tables or working carny games on the Boardwalk. With no ambitions beyond meeting girls and buying another six-pack, there's time for misadventure. This is a summer of firsts -- no parents, no curfew, and no school to go back to in September. A young guy can do just about anything he wants -- with hilarious (or pathetic) consequences. We've all had a summer like this.
