Pilot
Detective Rocco Banyan is a homicide cop with a horrific past and a monstrous secret.
Jasmine Fairchild is a forensic psychologist with an unnatural – in fact, supernatural – empathic
talent.
Their paths cross (and their mutual attraction begins) when they both break into the same morgue at
midnight... to examine a corpse officially (and wrongly) ruled a suicide.
But the dark secrets Rocco and Jasmine conceal – and the superhuman killer they're after – may
doom their partnership before it starts.
Welcome to a Fusion of sci-fi, mystery, romance, action, police procedural, horror... and more.

Richard Manning
Writer Series Creator Executive Producer

Richard Manning has been a television writer/producer for… well, for longer than he cares to remember. His writing/producing credits include Farscape, TekWar, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Knightwatch, Once a Hero, and Fame. He has also written episodes of Sliders, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Exosquad, She-Wolf of London, and some even more obscure stuff. With longtime writing partner Hans Beimler, he co-created Beyond Reality, a half-hour science-fiction/fantasy drama for the USA Network. He grew up in various suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, and attended the same high school (Bedford High) as Halle Berry (alas, not remotely at the same time), after which he travelled west to study Cinema Production at the University of Southern California. He has lived and worked in Los Angeles, Toronto, and Sydney, despite the language barriers. He adores the work of Sergei Prokofiev, Buster Keaton, Keith Jarrett, the brothers Coen, John le Carré, Preston Sturges, the Who, and Monty Python. He (responsibly) imbibes single malt Scotch and Australian beer. He is midway through his second marriage. To the best of his knowledge, he has no children.
His fandom nick is “FrooniumRicky”; his production company is Froonium Productions, Inc., and he blogs at www.froonium.com, pontificating about topics such as writing for Muppets animatronics, the joys of fountain pens, and just what the heck “froonium” is anyway.

Chris Cleveland
"Rocco Banyan" Co-Executive Producer

Chris Cleveland was born and raised in South Carolina. He grew up an athlete, playing football, basketball, and baseball. He earned a track and military scholarship to The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina and graduated from Army Airborne school. But after visiting family in Los Angeles during Christmas break of his senior year, Chris set his sights on the world of entertainment. He threw himself into acting classes at the University of South Carolina, drove hours to Atlanta and Charlotte for auditions, and gained experience doing print ads, commercials, and theater.
Chris moved to Los Angeles and immersed himself in acting classes, voice classes, and theater. One of his first roles in Los Angeles was in the independent film Relax… It’s Just Sex with Jennifer Tilly and Lori Petty. His next project was a play, Burning Blue, with Robert Gossett, William Sadler, and Tim DeKay. His first leading role in a feature film was in the sci-fi/horror The Living Dark.
In The Prestige, Chris was privileged to work with some of the industry’s best talents, including Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson, Andy Serkis, David Bowie, Rebecca Hall, and director Christopher Nolan.
Other feature roles include the indie family film The No Sit List (with Danny Trejo and Dee Wallace) and the sci-fi Heatstroke (with Danica McKellar of The Wonder Years). Heatstroke began Chris’s relationship with writer/producer Richard Manning and their collaboration on the web series Fusion.
Watch for Chris in an upcoming episode of NBC’s Heroes.
In addition to Chris’ acting accomplishments, he has built a production company, Good Ole Boy Productions. Chris is in the development stages on three new feature films and has his sights set on the continuation of Fusion. His simple mantra: “Persistence is key. Never give up, never!”

Julianna Robinson

Julianna Robinson
"Jasmine Fairchild"

Julianna Robinson was raised by Bornean jungle orangutans until a greedy developer destroyed her “family’s” habitat forcing young Julianna to leave her home and take up with a tribe of local headhunters whose native lifestyle was also in danger from international mining interests. The only thing that initially prevented the headhunters from killing the “Orangutan Child” was for young Julianna to entertain them, Scheherazade-like, with entertaining stories and interpretive dance. This fueled the passion for performance that would continue into her adult life. She soon became the headhunters’ leader and, using her spectacularly honed jungle skills and her ability to speak with animals, she and the tribe exacted brutal revenge against the greedy developers and saved the headhunters from a life of modern day serfdom. After a tearful goodbye, Julianna left the tribe, hopping a tramp steamer to Los Angeles to pursue her love of acting. She lives in Venice with her mongoose, Podo.

Growing up in a European family, the kitchen table was where everyone shared the world and their perceptions of it; so for Teri, the collaborative storytelling process started early. Three artist uncles and a nuclear physicist father with a love of the science fiction masters sealed the deal on the world of make-believe. At San Diego State University, life took her in another direction - as it so often does - and it was quite some time before Teri found her way back to her first love. Tutelage under Toronto production designer Anthony Morassutti reminded her that there was no cure for the temporarily permanent insanity that is filmmaking.
Working her way up from Art PA, Teri has filled just about every role in the art department; from painter, coordinator and buyer, to art director and production designer. Projects have ranged from thesis films for the American Film Institute, including "The Passage of Mrs Calabash" - honored by the International Cinematographer's Guild - to the independent feature film "Blood Deep", shot at Universal Studios.
Recent live action work includes production design on two short films - now with Isotropic films – “Family Pieces”, for director Ryan Close, and “Bloody Baby Blue”, for director Vong Chea. “Bloody Baby Blue” has been selected to screen at the 2009 Swansea Bay Film Festival in Wales.
She happily reunited with “Calabash” cinematographer Dan Hertzog last April, when he directed the webisode pilot “The Art of Chores,” and was fortunate enough to reunite with producer Lea Beth Shapiro, and WGA writer Richard Manning, for the StrikeTV pilot “Fusion.” “Fusion” gave Teri the opportunity to mix production design with producing; a combo made relatively painless by the truly tremendous nature of both cast and crew.
Teri can currently be found at The Jim Henson Company, digitally coordinating the PBS Kids’ freshman animated series “Sid The Science Kid” to within an inch of its life.

Brandie Posey
Key Set Production Assistant
Brandie Posey
Key Set Production Assistant

Brandie Posey moved to Los Angeles on January 1st, 2007 to pursue a career in comedy. Since arriving, she has taken sketch and improv workshops through the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and performed stand up around town in other alternative comedy venues like the Improv Olympic. But comedy doesn’t pay the bills (just yet), so she has built a long resume of production experience, PAing and coordinating on TV shows like Thank God You’re Here, House M.D., and Deal or No Deal. You can view her full resume on her IMDB page.
Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, Brandie got bit by the entertainment bug in 1995 when she was 9, while viewing Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls for the first time… and delighted in telling her film professors at her alma mater, Drexel University, that Jim Carrey falling out of a rhino’s ass was the reason she was in their classes. She is a huge comedy and sci fi nerd and loves ska music more than anyone past 1998 should. She is very silly. She can be seen improving on the new MTV show Bromance, where she pretends to be Brody Jenner’s obnoxious cousin and harasses contestants competing for a place in Brody’s entourage. She views this credit as proof that even her career is determined not to take itself seriously.
Please don’t heckle Brandie if (WHEN) you come see her do stand up… she will make you cry. Both tears of laughter and sadness… it’s a multifaceted performance. She has also been preventing forest fires for 24 years and counting. You’re welcome.
